magic

a journal excerpt

“I think you have to bring it out of people, a lot of the time it’s just a case of it being in there but no one has ever brought it out of them. Magic is everywhere, magic is in the people and I think that on lots of occasions it’s just simply never been questioned, it’s never been asked of them. Tell me who your favourite bands are, tell me about your favourite songs that they’ve made – tell me why. Tell me how it makes you feel, does it make you feel fearless? Does it make you feel like everything is going to be okay and that the world is going to come together just the way you want it to? Express yourself to me, open up, tell me about the way you feel when you watch the sun set, tell me your first thought when you wake up in the morning, the first thing you worry about in the day. Tell me why it worries you, tell me what makes it go away, tell me what makes it come back. So often people look at each other and just settle for the fact that if they don’t think they’ll connect with that person, they won’t even try. I think it’s always worth trying. It creates surprise, it creates wonder, it creates magic.”

A short one today loves, I thought I’d share this with you all because I’m going to Disneyland tomorrow, otherwise known as the most magical place of all. I won’t be active for a few days so if you’re wondering where I’ve disappeared to, I’m walking around Paris wearing Minnie Mouse ears pretending to be a real life princess. Look for me.

I’ll catch you when I’m home, rest assured, there will be a huge photo diary coming your way.

“She’s mad, but she’s magic.”

All my love.

  3. I absolutely love this – and I couldn’t agree with you more! I think there’s so much unappreciated magic in the everyday, in what we don’t even recognise or acknowledge and the magic that comes from getting to know people is beautiful! Hope you have a world of fun in Disneyland lovely 🙂 xx

  4. Ahh, love this 😉 That magic…gosh, when we find people who bring it out in us we gotta hold onto it really tight. I hope you have the best time ever tomorrow at Disneyland. I’m not jealous at all. 😉
