SEEING HARRY STYLES LIVE

Hi angels!

If you know anything about me (which you do, because I mention it a lot) you will know that Harry over here is the love of my life and basically just my favourite person on the whole entire planet. Ever since little 12 year old me saw him on X Factor that one Saturday in his fashionable chinos and neck scarf (….) I was hooked. 8 years later, I’m still hooked. Hook line and sinker, there’s no getting out. I’m going to be in this deep dark pit of despair until I’m on my death bed and even then I’ll still be complaining about the fact I never allowed this man to come into my life and ruin it, yet here I am. People told me it was a phase but oh no, the fake fans dropped out after a couple of years yet here I am as a grown ass woman (is 20 considered a grown ass woman?) still going strong.

I was the 3rd Harry fan account to ever be created on Twitter (oh yes, you’re talking to a celebrity) and had that from when I was about 12-17 and it reached 60,000 followers which was crazy to me ’cause all I used to ever do was tweet my (apparently funny) opinions and thoughts on H / 1D and just hope they’d never see it (side note – they didn’t). After my best friend passed at 15 I stopped using it because my heart wasn’t in it anymore (fan accounts are a serious thing y’know) and so from 16-17 I kind of just used to dip in and out until I eventually stopped using it altogether, and now it just sits there lonely and barren…waiting for me to come back.

Anyway, enough with the dramatic scene setting – you get the idea. If you need to know anything about Harry / 1D – I’m your girl. I know them better than they know themselves. You could present me with a picture of a fingernail and I could confirm to you whether or not it was Harry’s. I’m kidding. But not really. I’m not a psycho I just know a lot of stuff okay, I didn’t spend 6 years of my life in love with a boyband to come out with nothing. 

So anyway, swiftly moving on…I’ve been to every 1D tour there’s ever been and so obviously when they decided to break up and ruin the lives of teenage girls across the nation, my only thought was that Harry was obviously going to release new music and then TOUR THAT SHIT across the world, so obviously when he released a tour date in my city I was like HELL YES, I’M THERE.

So that’s what this post is about, I saw him on Saturday (7th April) and now I’m gonna shut up and show you the photos because I know that’s what you’re really here to see and you don’t care about my 1D history (let’s be honest who could blame you).

I only took videos of him actually during the concert so I won’t include those because I’d be here forever (and all you can hear is me screaming “YAAAAAAAAAASSSSS!!!!!!!!!” every time he does a high note / picks up the LGBTQ flag / sings THAT line in Medicine – if you know you know). But here are some photos of the rest!!

p.s. – this day was a whole year since Sign of The Times came out and it was his first show back in the UK!!

Like I said, I only took videos during the actual concert so I’m going to show you some of the polaroid photos in the book I bought instead and we can all marvel at how fantastic he is – he had this instead of programmes and I love it.

There were also these really sweet girls going around and handing these out to everyone so that when he sang If I Could Fly, the whole arena would be lit up in colours and it worked – it looked AMAZING

Everyone was so wonderful and the whole thing was amazing, it’s so incredible to be in a room full of people that share the same love and adoration for someone as you do, it’s great to be able to share it and know that he knew looking out from that stage, every single person in that room was there because they loved him, it really was the best feeling. One of the first things he said when he got on stage that night was “please feel free to be whoever it is that you want to be in this room tonight, and do what makes you happy.” – I think that says it all. He’s literally an angel.

I have so much love and respect for this man, he’s the most incredible and wonderful person and I’ve said this since I was 12 years old and I will continue to say it still – he is and never has been just a ‘good looking member of a boyband’ to me, he is so much more. 8 years is a very long time to follow someone’s journey and support them every step of the way, I’ve literally grown up with him as a constant part of my life and he always will be, I honestly mean it when I say he’s my favourite person because since 12 years old he’s been a source of light in my life and I wouldn’t change a thing, I want him to continue to flourish and grow like he has been over the past couple of years and I can’t wait to see what he does next. It’s an honour to be able to support someone as incredible as he is and that will never change, whether I’m 12, 20, 200 I will always feel the same and I’m not embarrassed by that – people who don’t understand the concept of loving someone you’ve never met will try and make you feel embarrassed about the whole thing and that you should grow up or get over it and my reply to that is a big fuck you to those people. Since leaving One Direction it’s now a lot cooler to like him all of a sudden and everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon but at the end of the day I’m just happy he’s getting the love and support that he deserves – there were a lot of people from all ages in that room on Saturday and it was a wonderful thing to see.
