things that are making me happy right now

HELLO,

I’m really giddy happy right now and I thought y’know what? I’m gonna write a blog post about it. Let’s document this moment.

So, I’m currently sat in my room, it’s a Sunday and the sun is kind of doing that thing where it makes everything all hazy and pretty in the light – it’s also great because I swear for the past week we’ve had fog and rain, it’s literally been dark for a week straight so when I saw the sun today, I did a little happy dance, can’t lie.

I’m listening to Try Hard by 5SOS but not the remastered version, the original. They’ve re-recorded a lot of their older songs and it makes me cry a little because I prefer the old versions so much more as obviously, when they came out that’s the version I was listening to. THE NEW ONES JUST AREN’T THE SAME OKAY. Anyway, I was watching the music video for it as well and it makes me so happy ’cause they were actually touring at the time they filmed it and I remember when they released the music video my friend and I were praying that they’d put clips from our show in there (side note – they didn’t) but it’s okay, we forgave them.

Another great thing right now is that I ordered some colourful liquid eyeliners from NYX, I was watching Cartia’s pre-Coachella vlog and NYX had taken her so there was a lady that came and showed them the makeup they could use for the festival and she got these gorgeous colourful liquid eyeliners out of her makeup bag and everyone went WOW and I went WOAH and it reminded me that for a really long time I’d actually wanted to buy some but was too scared because I was thinking…when am I gonna be able to incorporate this into a makeup look? When am I gonna be brave enough to wear this as a makeup look? As in, actually out of the house, in public – when am I gonna be brave enough to do that?

BUT I went to TGI Fridays for the first time the other week and the waitress who was looking after our table was wearing yellow winged eyeliner and I thought it was so pretty, it reminded me how much I’d wanted to do it for ages and then I saw Cartia’s vlog today and it was like the universe was telling me – Chloe, just buy the damn eyeliners and so I did, you gotta listen to the Universe giving you signs, right? Anyway, now I’m super excited because I bought the colours yellow and pink (I wanted blue as well but I don’t know if I’m that brave yet) and also some new highlighting palettes because your girl likes to glow okay, so with my yellow wings and sparkly highlighted face I’m going to look like the actual sun in human form. Anyway, let me know if you want me to do some eye looks with these new colours and I shall try my very best to make a decent post out of it – like I said I’m always looking to expand the content on my blog and I think that would be super fun!

I also bought these which I’m absolutely dying over and I really shouldn’t have bought them because I’m trying to save right now (who am I kidding) but I literally couldn’t resist, I had to have them – they’re the Dr Marten x Lazy Oaf collaboration and if I were a pair of shoes, I’d be this. This is literally me in a shoe…or a boot, if we’re being technical. I really wanted the black pair but they’re all sold out so I just got the pink for now, I’m going to buy the black ones off someone else.

I also had a job interview the other day that went really well, I’m not even really looking for a new job at the moment but I wanted to do it anyway to basically kick anxiety’s butt and see if I could do it and I did!! So I’m super proud of myself for that because I was so close to pulling out last minute but I didn’t, instead I showed my anxiety who was boss and aced the interview, so I gave myself a little pat on the back for that.

Anyway, let me know if you guys enjoy these kind of posts – I feel like there’s a lot of thoughts / things that go in in my life that I want to share with you all but they’re not things I can incorporate into a blog post or make an actual blog post out of – I can’t just put up a 3 line post about how I just bought some colourful liquid eyeliners, ya know? But I wanna share it all with you anyway! This is where I wish WordPress had like a Twitter vibe where I could just post mini things because there’s so many things I always wanna ask you guys about or update you on but they just don’t really fit anywhere on my blog. So maybe I’ll start just putting them in posts together like these, so let me know if you like it!

p.s. – my posting schedule – do we like Mondays, Wednesdays & Saturdays as it is now or shall I change it to Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays?? I feel like the gap between Wednesday & Saturday is too long but I also like posting on the weekend. help please!
