a mini book haul (#1)

Hi loves,

As you all know, I’m a little book worm and I do this thing where I already own 2482348 unread books but proceed to still buy more anyway, which I’m sure I’m not alone in. I have more books than this to share with you but I’m going to be posting reviews on them shortly and so thought I’d share with you the ones I haven’t read instead – here are some books I’ve bought recently –

The Hate U Give – Angie Thomas

I’ve seen this one all over booktube and Goodreads and really wanted to give it a try, I’m super into books like these that focus and talk about important topics, I’m trying to educate myself as much as I can and this book has had nothing but good reviews so I’m super excited to read it. I prefer the other version of the cover but the website I ordered from only had this one which of course, I’m not too fussed about. If I end up loving it (which I’m sure I will), I’ll buy the other cover too.

Flux – Orion Carloto

My angel’s book! It’s been on my TBR ever since it was first released but I’ve always found it to be way too expensive to justify purchasing it (sorry Orion) but it went down a little in price and I finally bought it. I’ve already read it so there will be a review incoming probably in a couple months so I won’t talk about it for now, but can we just agree that this is the most beautiful cover ever. I’m obsessed.

i hope this reaches her in time – R.H. Sin

This was a complete impulse buy, after I bought Flux this came up in the suggested and I’d heard of it before and thought I might as well buy it since it was only £4. I have already read it as it’s super short but I thought I’d still include it here anyway as it’s not long enough to do a review on – it’s essentially a book written for a girl who’s just gone through a breakup. I didn’t hate it but I found the poems to be quite generic and bland, I do believe this was written by an older male though and maybe that’s why it all felt a little disconnected. It’s an okay read – not offensive for £4.

Throne of Glass – Sarah J. Maas

And last but not least…Throne Of Glass! It’s been on my TBR for ages and I finally got around to buying it (it was on sale for dirt cheap as well). All of the things I’ve heard about this series have been great and I know it’s massively popular across booktube and the general book community altogether, so I’m excited to start reading and actually be a part of the conversation.
