Hi loves,
Will I ever stop buying new books even though I still have 9349234 on my shelf waiting to be read?
No, no I won’t.
Here’s another mini book haul.

unravel me
tahereh mafi
This is the second book in the Shatter Me series which I was supposed to buy after I read the first book……..4 years ago. There’s my procrastination level for you. Anyway, I really loved the first book and knew I was going to love the series as a whole so uh…4 years later I’ve finally gotten around to buying it. Good job Chlo.

red queen

The book that everyone and their grandma seems to have read but yet again…I haven’t. It’s been on my series TBR for a while and finally I’ve gotten around to buying it, I’m not really into series (99% of the time I just read stand-alones) but I’m trying to push myself more in that direction so, I’m excited to give it a go.

one of us is lying
karen m. mcmanus
Honestly I just bought this because it was dirt cheap and I’d heard a few good things about it and so thought I’d give it a go, I’m trying to read more thriller-type books and so I feel like this is another step in the right direction.

simon vs. the homo sapiens agenda
becky albertalli
Again, I didn’t really have much interest in ever reading this but it was dirt cheap and so I thought I’d buy it anyway because it’s all anyone’s been talking about for the past 74 years. I think when things are over-hyped I instantly become disinterested but I’m hoping this will be a nice surprise!

Let me know if you’ve read any of these!
All my love,
Chloe .xx

I read Simon vs the Homosapiens agenda when it came out and it is a sweet contemporary, with no groundbreaking value, just a nice book that represents a community and has well-drawn, often relatable characters 🙂

I read it not long after I posted this and enjoyed it! It was a very sweet story – I agree with everything you said! I thought exactly the same .xx

I absolutely adored One of Us is Lying so you have to let us know what you think when you finally read it! I too am so guilty at buying new books when I have not finished the books on my shelf yet so you are not alone. xx

Nice books! 😍 I always love these posts but they are dangerous for me too haha 😂 I want to buy so many books and then I still have so many at home that I need to read. I feel you. I also loose interest when things are over-hyped. I feel like it may be not that good but maybe it’s. I’m interested in reading Simon vs.

What did you think of Shatter Me? I’d be interested to hear your thoughts, seeing as I read the first book a couple of years back and hated it (I had so many issues with it that I can’t even begin to list all of them). And YES GIRL, you finally bought Red Queen! Personally, I found the series to be okay, though I did think that the first book was the best (the second is bad, the third ok, the fourth good). So definitely let me know what you thought! Great post, you know how much I enjoy bookish posts from you xx

I read Shatter Me when I was 16/17 (I think 16) and I really, really enjoyed it however, my taste in writing at 16 was definitely not the same as it is now at 21. I find a lot of YAs difficult to read these days (so I’ve no idea why I keep buying them) because I find so many problems with the writing, characters, general storyline etc. It’s like Twilight for example – I read the first book last year and absolutely hated and loathed it however, if I’d read it when I was 16 I probably would’ve enjoyed it so, I’m not sure how accurate my opinion on Shatter Me can really be but I do remember enjoying it at the time. I’ve seen a lot of Booktubers say they have a lot of problems with the series and books as a whole so maybe I’ll feel the same way after reading it now now that I’m older – I’ll definitely do a review! X

Simon Vs The Homosapiens Agenda is one of the best books I’ve ever read!
The rest three have been on my list for a very long time but well, lists and everything else is to be forgotten when you pass by the book store. 😀
Happy reading!
